The details matter.
What is a request unit?+
A successful delivery GET, HEAD, or 304 uses one unit. An authorized upload session uses four units per file, plus one for each accepted part. A typical one-part upload uses five units. File management batches and list responses count per file, with a minimum of one. Deletion, cleanup, and internal dashboard actions are not charged.
How do storage and live file overages work?+
Only excess above the included allowance is integrated over time. Keeping 10 excess GB for half a billing period uses 5 GB-months. File count uses the same time-weighted method. Downloads and request units accumulate across the period. Fractional quantities are billed without rounding up to a full block.
Is the Free allowance per application?+
The Free allowance is one shared organization pool across all Free applications. Paid applications have separate plans and invoices. A new Free grant is proportional to the remaining UTC calendar month.
Can I turn overages off?+
Yes, once live data, live file count, and active upload reservations fit the included allowance. Accrued excess charges remain payable. Consumed downloads and units do not reset, so normal delivery may pause until the next period.
What happens if I cancel?+
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. If files do not fit the Free pool, you have 30 days of authenticated export and cleanup before purge. Cancellation is honored even when you are over capacity.
Are limits instant spending caps?+
Upload admission uses reservations. Delivery measurements can arrive late, so download controls are not an instantaneous provider cost cap. No overage consent means no extra charges, including delayed measurement tails. The four quantity controls govern usage. A spending alert is not a guaranteed charge ceiling.
