Usage and limits
Four meters measure what an application uses and what it costs.

- Opening a file session costs 4 units, and each accepted part costs 1 more, so a normal single-part upload costs 5 units.
- An upload with 100 accepted parts costs 104 units.
- A successful delivery GET, HEAD, or 304 costs 1 unit. Each Range request counts separately.
- File management and list operations cost 1 unit per file, with a minimum of one.
- Deletion, cancellation, cleanup, dashboard activity, sign-in, and billing actions cost nothing.
- Repeating an idempotent operation doesn't charge twice, and backend retries never add charges.
Uploadfile integrates storage and file excess over the actual billing period. If 10 excess GB remains for half of the period, it contributes 5 GB-months. A higher allowance starts once Uploadfile confirms the paid upgrade, and excess accrued before then still counts.
Downloads and request units count up over the period. An upgrade adds only the remaining fraction of the period's allowance. Changing plans or disabling overages doesn't reset what you already used.
To enable overages, accept the rates, set all four quantity limits, and set a monthly USD overage alert. Without that consent Uploadfile charges no extra usage, including usage reported late.
You can disable overages once live storage, file count, and outstanding reservations fit the included capacity. Cleanup stays available. Delivery reports arrive late, so the quantity limits don't stop spending instantly.
Pay as you go includes no usage. Uploadfile charges the same four meters from the first unit, in proportion to use, against the application's prepaid funds. Storage and resident files are time-weighted like subscription excess and measured in decimal gigabytes, so keeping 10 GB for a full month costs $5.00. Stored files keep accruing storage and file charges while they remain stored, even with no uploads or downloads.
Request units use the same definitions as every plan. At $150 per million units, one unit costs $0.00015. A one-part upload (5 units) costs $0.00075, a 100-part upload (104 units) costs $0.0156, and each successful delivery GET, HEAD, or 304 costs $0.00015. Deletion, cleanup, and ordinary account and billing activity are free.

Pay as you go applications have the same four quantity limits plus a monthly USD alert. They start at 100 GB stored, 50 GB downloaded, 10,000 files, 100,000 request units, and a $50 alert, and you can change them in Billing. Uploads or downloads pause when the application reaches a limit.
The USD alert sends a notification. It does not cap spending. Delivery usage can arrive late, so neither the limits nor the prepaid balance check stops usage instantly. Uploadfile still charges late usage to the prepaid balance, which can briefly go below zero.
